Adding a second brood box to both my hives with these was very easy. The wax coating is much thicker than on the Chinese ones I have gotten in the past. The black plastic foundation has plenty of wax on it. Easy to assemble. So far the bees seem to like. We will see in a few weeks if they draw proper combs.

I’m sharing a photo of the hive box I installed bees in 5 weeks ago—it’s going really well (my first hive)! I also included a photo of the most recent 10-frame box I purchased and put together. It all went well except a knot in an unfortunate location that led to some cracking when I screwed the walls together. I think it will be fine but I wanted you to know.

Quality Control needs to be looked into. I bought 2 sets, 1 is perfect. The 2nd set however has huge slivers/chunks coming off the boxes. These photos are as I was taking these pieces out of the box. I put glue on them and rubber bands hopefully it'll work.

The box arrived well packed with all items snugly packed. Everything was in great shape and included all the necessary hardware for assembly. All the parts fit together nice and tight, but not tight enough that it was difficult to put together. I used regular wood glue to further secure each joint. The only downside was that anywhere the wood glue seeped out is where the wax gave up and was wiped away when I wiped down the area to remove any excess glue. All in all it is a good bee box and it will do well housing our much needed little friends.

Just like buying a full hive, the box is well built. The dovetails fit tightly. The screws are rust resistant. I appreciate the dedication to quality and longevity that went into this box. I will purchase more.

Instructions could use a little help. It mentioned gluing the pieces, but then sent a bunch of nails. Some nails are labeled as screws in the instructions, and some of the english on the instructions could use some work. But got it all put together in appox 30 min and looks great!

I purchased 2 of these, and they have been solid so far. Simple and sturdy construction. Wax coating is decent. Price was best I could find as well. I've purchased another brand's 10-frame hive for about $10 more. It's nice too, but I like this one more because it doesn't have any labeling/branding and slightly better wax coating it seems. Will be buying more when I get more bees - good product.

I bought two hive boxes. One 10 Fran and one eight. The eight Fran was better quality, but the ten Frame here went together easier.The 8 frame from the other was better cut. But this one was better covered with bees wax. For the price it was good! I busted the top on both. My drill was too much. Fits together well and a good price! My New NUC will love it
